Hi! Welcome! Thanks for checking out my very first post!
I’ve wanted to do this for months now but you know, life. My life has been insane for the past 12 months. A lot has happened that I would love to share with you all!
Here is a little insight as to what I want to accomplish in this space. I have always been an open book and I don’t plan on changing that any time soon. I promise to always keep it real and be open and vulnerable with you. I want to share my wins, loses, joy and pain with everyone because that is what life should be. Real people being real with others. Life is crazy and short, too short to not be there for each other. With that said, if any of you need a listening ear please, feel free to reach out! I want this to be a place where I can share my life, what I enjoy, things I love, products that I swear by, or my latest song obsession. Everything.
This is my life. Welcome!
A little bio: My name is Mary. I am engaged to the love of my life, Max. I am the oldest child of five with the best parents I could ever ask for. If you were to ask anyone close to me what means the most to me they would say my family. Bonus: I am so excited that my family will be growing in August as I marry Max! I reside in the Minneapolis area and am loving it! The rest of the information will come with time.
Here’s a quick recap of the last year of my life. I will get into the details in future posts.
Here we go!
Last February my dad was on the job hunt. He ended up accepting a job in Richmond, Virginia. I am not going to lie, I was heartbroken. Don’t worry, it’s all good now because God is SO faithful you guys. The summer rolled around and movers packed up my home of 10 years and my parents and my sweet pets were off to VA, leaving the kids home for another week. Those were the hardest goodbyes ever. Luckily I got to go visit the following week and help them get settled. It helped that Max was going through the same thing at the same time. His mom, sister and dog moved out east as well! I am still mind blown that that happened to both of us the same summer but more to come on that. Fall came and graduation was quickly approaching. I was READY to be done with school for good! Max and I planned to go to Virginia to spend Thanksgiving with my family and I planned a surprise visit from his Mom’s side of the family. I was SO excited to see everyone! The weekend before we were scheduled to fly out, Max took me to one of my favorite spots in Minneapolis and asked me to marry him! Best day ever! It was perfect and made even sweeter because we were able to celebrate with our families the following weekend. It may have been my best Thanksgiving yet! A few short weeks later I graduated from North Central University with a degree in Psychology and shortly after I accepted a job in the business world. Life is hysterical sometimes. So these days I am working my first big girl job, wedding planning, apartment hunting and trying soak up every second of this new journey that Max and I are beginning together. For the record, life with Max is my favorite thing ever. Every day is an adventure that is always filled with laughter. He is actually the brains behind the name of this blog. MZ Times Two. Our life from my perspective (and maybe his someday.)
Thanks for joining me on this journey!
Until next time…
